Renault Le Culte du Defi

I saw this book for sale and bought a copy on a bit of a whim being as there was a Twizy on the front so new enough for the twingo to get a mention.  This looks to be an indepth history of Renault judging by the 492 pages.  I also like the fact that my copy is an ex-library book from Bibliotheque Municipale d’Antony

Cost £8.74 incl delivery from a seller in France on Amazon.  Original cost was 24 Euro.

Translation.

From the petrol cart on rue Lepic to the all-electric vehicle, Renault continues to rebound. But by being nationalized and then privatized again, turning into a Franco-Japanese enterprise open to Russia, it has blurred its image. It’s time to give it back its roots. To evoke innovations, sports competitions, struggles, celebrations, progress. The tragic fate of exceptional men, but also the life of generations at work in the noise and dust of the forge, the foundry, the chain. Without concealing the errors, this story poses the problems. It shows how Louis Renault imposed its tank and its planes in spite of the “tacticons”, the “technicons”, the “ink shit”. How Pierre Lefaucheux and Georges Besse mobilized energies from the top to the bottom of the scale, Raymond Lévy improved the quality, and Louis Schweitzer redirected Renault to Brazil, Japan, Korea and Eastern Europe.
